Shared services consultation launches

The Preliminary Impact Analysis for a centralised services method is now available as part of a four-week NatHERS consultation, running from Thursday 20 June, through to COB Thursday 18 July.

The analysis documents the need and rationale for the inclusion of centralised services within the NatHERS Whole of Home National Calculations Method. It provides a NatHERS compliance pathway for apartment buildings with these systems.

The Apartment Centralised Services Method  outlines how shared hot water and space conditioning in apartment buildings should be assessed using NatHERS Whole of Home. It is supported by the Whole of Home National Calculations Method which already features key technical settings.

The draft method was developed by engineering firm Bridgeford Group with detailed input from the NatHERS Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). A high-level peer review in consultation with Energy Efficient Strategies informed the current version.

Anyone interested in providing feedback should visit the NatHERS website and follow the submission process.

The consultation closes COBThursday 18 July 2024

WERSLink Update

Plans to integrate the new WERSLink window libraries into NatHERS software continues to progress well despite complex technical challenges causing some unforeseen delays.

The team is prioritising the project with support from the Australian Glass & Window Association (AGWA), who are also reviewing and advancing the required legal agreements, to ensure the WERSLink window libraries are embedded into all NatHERS software as soon as possible.

The new WERSLink Default Window Library is now available in AccuRate Home’s latest release v1.3.3.23 SP2.

Keep up to date on project developments by signing up for NatHERS newsletters and via the NatHERS website.
