Release of an updated Protocol for Assessor Accrediting Organisations

The NatHERS Administrator has today published an updated Protocol for Assessor Accrediting Organisations (AAOs).

The Protocol has been developed in close collaboration with AAOs. It aims to improve clarity and certainty around the roles and responsibilities of AAOs and the assessors accredited to use NatHERS software for regulatory purposes.

This Protocol, dated March 2016, will come into effect on 1 July 2016. The current Protocol, dated March 2014, will continue to operate in the interim.

To provide greater certainty around Continuing Professional Development requirements in the transition to the new protocol, clause 4.5 –; Continuing Professional Development will only come into effect when assessors next renew their annual accreditation after 1 July 2016.
