NatHERS Consultation launching soon

You’re invited to take part in the upcoming Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) Consultation, which is launching on Wednesday 10 November. The survey will run for 5 weeks until Thursday 16 December.

We want to hear your feedback about the proposed changes to improve NatHERS. There will be a specific focus on Whole of Home and In Home elements which will be introduced in 2022.

We will share the link for the survey and the detailed discussion paper in our next newsletter on Wednesday 10 November. 

There will also be three targeted information sessions on 16, 18 and 22 November. If you miss a session you will be able to view the webinars later on the NatHERS website. 

The public webinars are open to anyone interested in learning more about the proposed changes. The sessions will also help those interested in taking the survey or making a more formal submission.

Session 1: NatHERS Overview of Changes

2.00-3.00pm, Tuesday 16 November

Learn more about the updates being made to NatHERS. Experts will guide you through improvements to Thermal software, along with details about how Whole of Home and In Home assessments will be introduced into the Scheme. Topics will include proposals for updated and new certificates, software changes, and how NatHERS will be communicated across industry.  

 

Session 2: NatHERS Changes Relating to Regulation

2.00-3.30pm, Thursday 18 November

This information session for industry professionals will focus on the important changes being made to NatHERS to support proposed variations to the energy efficiency requirements for the National Construction Code for 2022. Experts will step you through planned updates to Thermal and Whole of Home assessments, proposed certificates and training and accreditation processes.

 

Session 3: NatHERS Technical Overview

2.00-3.30pm, Monday 22 November 

This technically focused session is tailored for tool providers, assessors and other industry professionals involved in NatHERS assessments. It will take a detailed look at the methods and assumptions that go into the whole of home calculations, and the supporting guidance for assessors such as technical notes, handbooks and professional development pathways.
