A four-week consultation on the expansion of the Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) to include energy ratings for existing homes has opened today (29 July).

From today (1 May) Victoria and Queensland will adopt the updated National Construction Code (NCC 2022) which includes significant changes to energy efficiency requirements. 

The Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme’s new Whole of Home rating is one way you can comply with the NCC 2022 annual energy use budget. NatHERS Director Leonie Wilson explains what the rating is and how it’s supporting the energy efficient homes of the future.
